Daniel I’s Post Day 11 - July 30th

Today was quite the adventure.  It's funny that even during our off days they manage to tire us out with all the activities they have us do. This time as with the others was totally worth the aching muscles and bones. Today was all about a hike with the Young Dreamers through an eco friendly farm eventually leading to a massive canyon cut solely from a gushing and rushing river over the course of eons. From farmland used to cultivate food and cattle to the jungle filled with millipedes and venomous snakes, the path was tremendous and treacherous. Luckily we had expert guide, Dali,  and her trusty dog Charcoal, to keep us safe and on the path no matter how steep the path got.  After descending the mountain we finally made it to the bottom, a valley filled with gargantuan boulders and a powerful white water river. As we climbed over the slippery rocks and stones along the shore we also enjoyed breathtaking views along the way. After a rest, as well as some photos and videos came the hard part, climbing back up the entire mountain we just walked down. After many, many, many breaks we managed to make it back to the top covered in mud, dripping in sweat, legs on fire, and very, very hungry. We were graciously met however with fresh cold refreshing juice, homemade cookies, and a impeccable sandwich made with much love.

After that we said goodbye to the Young Dreamers, enjoyed our lovely Caficito time with cake and freshly brewed coffee in preparation to head to work at La Biofabrica. After some hard work of continuing to set up the solar and tank pipe system, we ended the day with a delicious dinner from the legendary chef Juan Awero. It was a tough day, but a fun one filled with unforgettable memories and moments that even my muscles will remember. Pura Vida
